Our mission
Your paradise begins at the Maluhia Retreat Center in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Our mission is to bring an affordable aloha experience of peace and renewal to clergy and family, ministry staff, mission groups, and volunteers through our tranquil Retreat Center on our beautiful campus.
Our vision
Our vision is that those involved in ministry and mission will experience the Maluhia Retreat Center, and our island paradise, and be refreshed and revived to go back home for ministry. On an island where other accommodations are incredibly expensive, we also envision mission groups, retreat groups, and volunteers being able to fulfill a mission or ministry idea on our island, because they have a serene and affordable place to call "home" at the Maluhia Retreat Center, while they engage in ministry and relaxation.
Volunteers Who Brought the Maluhia Retreat Center to Life
Hands from across the island brought the Maluhia Retreat Center to life! We owe a special thanks to our young adults at Wahiawa Christian Church and friends from our Micronesian community! The Retreat Center is now located in what used to be the first parsonage over a half a century ago. It was later turned into classrooms, and most recently stacked to the ceilings with stored items until the renovation and transformation process began which included new floors, new ceilings, walls moved and built, and the re-wiring of the Retreat Center and Social Hall.
